Best place in Sneads Ferry for fresh local seafood. We eat their seafood about twice a week with the Wild Caught Faroe Island Salmon being one of favorites! They also have a wide variety of fresh shellfish, finfish, crabs, and shrimp year-round. You must try the Crab Dip and if you are lucky enough to catch in stock you can't pass up the Hognose Snapper or American Red Snapper. Their sister company, The Salted Shell Farmers Market (located within Midgett Crab), offers sourdough bread - baked fresh every day, local produce, pastuerized and raw dairy, pantry staples, farm fresh eggs, and a wide variety of homemade goods such as goats milk soap, candles and tallow.

Lots of stuff to choose from. Seafood, berries, seasonings, eggs and more. We got shrimp, salmon (which we brined and smoked), crab cakes, and duck eggs. Also, a local seasoning. It was all very delicious. The seasoning (Rips, I believe) was too salty for the shrimp in my husband's opinion. They were fairly priced (the eggs were a steal at $0.50 each) and good quality. Friendly staff. They were extremely helpful and nice. We will definitely be returning.

First impression it is a dive which more often than not is a good thing. No exception here. Great staff, very accommodating and Pilot and his sister were personable and helpful. I recommend

I love Midgett’s for fresh seafood. I’ve had good experience with their frozen meat. I’ve purchased their raw milk several times for making cheese and it makes great mozzarella.

We stopped here on a Sunday after a weekend on the coast. What a great selection of fish, especially the flounder which was in season. Unbelievably fresh. Everything we had was good including flounder, clams, crab claws and shrimp. Nice people. Lovely place to visit with crab traps everywhere — very down to earth. Highly recommended. I wish I lived closer and could go more often.

I was in the "mood" for fresh red snapper. I called in advance, was assured by a very nice lady that, indeed, they had fillets in stock, never frozen. Made a quick trip from Jacksonville. Picked out what I wanted, they bagged it, adding ice, and we were off and running. I have a Blackstone Griddle, a birthday gift from my wife. Kosher salt, a little pepper and a special rub that we make ourselves, a medium hot griddle, and the fillets went meat down. Added chopped onions and peppers (a mixture) on a cooler part of the Blackstone with some olive oil, and we were off and running. About 6 minutes later (could have been 8...I don't count, I look at the fish as it's cooking), then flipped it over...liked what I saw, let it cook at reduced heat for another 5 minutes or so, covered both fillets with the peppers and onions, turned the heat off, made sure table was ready...and away I went. Succulent, juicy, tasty.

This place is it for fresh seafood! These people went above and beyond when we wanted blue crabs. Added in 5 extra to be sure we were satisfied and boy were we!! The crab was super fresh and so good. Thank you for giving us a wonderful experience! Great prices too and they also had fresh sourdough breads, honey, raw goats milk, jams and jellies, lots of different fresh vegetables and a huge selection of fresh seafood. Best place around for fresh foods!! Small owned business!!

I just want to thank the owners of this place for introducing me to bee pollen and the their raw honey. They have a ton of other great stuff. But this review is going to focus on the bee pollen. My Wife and I tried for the past 10 years to get pregnant. Not matter what we did it just didn’t happen. A year ago when picking up some milk I asked about the bee pollen and someone also shopping there said don’t eat it unless you want to get pregnant. I laughed and then said really though?!?!? The owners swore by it and so did the other shopper so I thought I mean why not try it. I am happy to say that as of April 2 I am now a proud father. We have also told another couple who was struggling and now they are pregnant. Y’all are doing God’s work over there. Thank you for the blessing. You have a customer for life!!!!
